That makes her stop in her search. "You're Max," she simply says. That revelation is very comforting. Balthazar has spoke of him enough times that Jelani knows that this is someone he trusts. Of course there are always the risk of people not being who they say they are - he could be lying - but Jelani decides to at least trust him enough to put her gun away. She's not going to be completely at ease until Balthazar himself confirms that this guy can be trusted, though.
