"In that case, you'd better have more than just tea." Amused, he offers her the first cup, and dishes out breakfast while she takes a sip. They make a good pair, with her doing the more active work and him tending the fire and the food. The camping is far more pleasant, with her help, than he expected. Of course when they do wrap up to leave he'll be making sure they erase the traces of their presence, too. No garbage, no embers, all remains of the fire well buried under dirt.
Before that, however, he settles back against a tree with his own plate and his tea, and breathes in the morning. "I've missed this, I think. I've been too long in the city, buried under the subway... I haven't noticed feeling smothered or anything, but..." He's struggling a little to put words to what he means, but her sanctuary home gave him some solace and a touch of nature that he hadn't realized he needed. "I do hope I won't miss it so much it becomes unbearable, now."
