"It's nearly noon now, so by the time you are ready, I should be about done with cleanup after breakfast." Oh look, more cats. All come sitting around begging after that first piece of bacon was doled out.
Mara's fingers work swiftly, breaking the bread into small, cat's-mouth sized pieces and doling them out, feeding them from her hands. Each cat got at least one piece, and the oldest and youngest each got two. That, for her, was fair. None of the cats were pregnant, none had new kits. Otherwise the feeding would have gone far differently.
"I don't believe we need a tent, but I did bring a tarp that we can pin down. And this time, we shall have something other than sticks and leaves to sleep on." Her eyes meet his curiously.
"It will only take me a moment to ready myself, my things are packed now. So while you make yourself ready, may I pack some food and a few other small items into your bag for you?"
